PERFECT BOUND BOOKLETS

Perfect bound booklets we print and produce come in two sizes:

  • the popular 8.5 x 11 inch or the half-size 5.5 x 8.5
    • Perfect binding gives your catalogs a more finished, refined look. A 10pt C1S cover (no coating) is bound with 80lb book (no coating) on the inside. The cover will be printed as 4:0 with the inside cover being blank and the inside of the booklet will be printed as 4:4. Perfect Bound Catalogs are perfect for catalogs, manuals, presentations and proposals.

The primary benefits of perfect bound booklets are that they look professional and offer visual appeal, are less expensive to produce than hardcover books, and they stack well. The many soft cover books that you see on the shelves at bookstores are good examples of perfect bound books. They have a cover is usually made from paper or cardstock that is heavier than the interior pages. In addition to authors, businesses and organizations use the perfect binding method on a variety of printing projects because of its professional appearance and relatively low cost. Perfect binding is commonly used for annual and corporate reports, manuals, catalogs and thicker product brochures.

Another benefit of perfect binding booklets is that they can be printed in Short Runs and are a great candidate for digital Printing. This provides tremendous benefits to book authors as well as cost-conscious businesses and organizations.

WHAT IS PERFECT BOUND BOOKLET PRINTING?

A method of book binding where a flexible adhesive attaches a paper cover to the spine of the assembled signatures is called perfect binding. Perfect binding puts all the pages or signatures together, roughens and flattens the edge, then a flexible adhesive attaches the paper cover to the spine. Paperback novels are one example of perfect binding. Booklets, telephone directories, and some magazines use perfect binding methods. Compared to other binding methods, perfect binding is quite durable and has a low to medium cost. It can be used with publications that are several inches thick.
